 LEOMINSTER, Mass. -- Connor Dalton went 2-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBIs Friday to lead the Pittsfield Little League 11-year-old All-Stars to an 11-1 win over Leominster in the Section 1 tournament. As the only 11-year-old all-star team in Berkshire County (District 1), Pittsfield automatically qualified for the four-team double-elimination sectional to compete for a berth in the state tournament. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The city is seeking more office space for the Pittsfield Police Department outside of its aged station. A request for proposals for office building acquisition to house police personnel was made available on June 12 and bidding will open on July 16. It calls for 12,000 square feet of move-in ready space. DALTON, Mass. — The Board of Water Commissioners approved ambulance intercept agreements with Lanesborough, Hinsdale, and Windsor during its meeting in June. These agreements allow the Fire Department's advanced life support ambulance to assist other departments' basic life support ambulances. Advanced life support is the highest level of care a department can provide. It can include pushing drugs and cardiac issues, among other conditions, Fire Chief Christian Tobin said.  PITTSFIELD, Mass. — The City Council approved multiple property easements for the state's reconstruction of East Street, paving the way for construction next year.
This includes takings of 12 permanent easements, 14 temporary easements, and two layout alterations and permanent parcel takings for the reconstruction project led by the state Department of Transportation.
A total of $10,000 will be paid out to property owners for permanent easements, with 765 East Street LLC receiving almost $4,000 for two parcels of land. Temporary easements will cost more than $73,000, with 765 East Street LLC reviewing the largest award of more than $11,600.
There is also $1,680 in damage
