PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Charlene Marie Hunter, 52, of Middlefield, Mass., died Wednesday afternoon, May 24, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
She was born on September 2, 1964, in Pittsfield, MA, the daughter of Donald and Shirley Morey Savery. She was a graduate of Gateway High School, Class of 1982.
Charlene worked as an attendant for the former Diesel Dan’s in Lee, for O’Connell Oil as an Assistant Manager, as a bookkeeper for High Lawn Farm and then for Agway in Pittsfield.
She loved her home, gardening, making jams, baking, going to tag sales with her friends and her mother-in-law. She was very proud of her home and house plants and enjoyed taking care of her sister’s dog, Matilda.
Charlene is survived by her husband, Charles H. Hunter Jr., whom she has been in love with for 28 years; her mother-in-law, Shirley Hunter of South Lee; two brothers, Donald Savery and his wife Kim of Middlefield and Clyde Savery and his wife Yvonne of Hinsdale; two sisters, Linda Cahalan and her husband Tom of South Lee and Cindy Janik and her husband Dave of Russell; her brother-in-law Warren Hunter and his wife Cheri and their children Amanda, Mollie and Sammy, all of Florida; three nieces, Jessica Cahalan Robertson of Pennsylvania, Jennifer Allan of Virginia and Faith Savery of Middlefield; and one nephew, Jeffrey “Jay” Burns of California.
She is predeceased by her parents; and a nephew, Thomas Cahalan.
