PITTSFIELD, Mass. — John M. Norton, 53, of Grove Street, died Monday, June 5, 2017, at home.
He was born in East Brunswick, New Jersey on May 9, 1964, the son of the late George F. and Mary E. Braun Norton Sr. He was educated in and graduated from Pittsfield schools.
He was employed as an installer for Berkshire Fence for 12 years until 2015. He had previously employed for over 20 years at the former Lampiasi’s Bakery. “John was a plethora of useless information”. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, the History Channel, the Science Channel and watching old movies. He would read any paper from front to back.
John is survived by his two brothers, George F. Norton Jr. and Mark Norton, both of Pittsfield; his seven sisters, MaryEllen Mechare, Donna Tibbetts, Veglia Pignone, and ToniMarie Gage, all of Pittsfield, Sandra Parreault of Melbourne, Fla., Bonnie Norton of Vermont and Patricia Cook of Florida; his daughter, Tristen Norton Manzolini of Pittsfield; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Elizabeth Kilfeather and Sandi Brooks.
