PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Annie Delphine Leighton Underhill, 72, of Stearns Avenue, died Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born in Dalton, Mass., on May 31, 1945, the daughter of the late George and Delphine Simmons Leighton. She was educated in Berkshire County schools.

Mrs. Underhill was employed by the former Tog Mold Tool and Die Company for over 20 years until 1995. She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church and most recently St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles, and motorcycling.

Annie married Theodore Edward Underhill Jr. on April 2, 1982; he died on January 10, 2017.

Annie is survived by her son, John A Leighton of Pittsfield; two stepdaughters, Dianne and Edward Blake of Pittsfield and Patricia Tornicelli and her partner Denise of Lenox; three stepsons, Allan and Carmella Underhill, Theodore Underhill III, and James and Angela Underhill, all of Pittsfield; two sisters, Patricia Burke and Elizabeth “Mary” Leighfield, both of Pittsfield; one brother, Francis and Monica Fetridge of Cheshire; her brother-in-law, Francis and Debbie Tremblay of Lanesborough; several step-grandchildren; and several step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Annie D. Leighton Underhill will be private, with burial to be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, is in charge of arrangements.
