PITTSFIELD, Mass. — John M. Burgess, 53, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 17, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
He was born April 24, 1964, in the Boston area, to Jack and Mary Burgess. John was a privileged man with his work ethics and would complete any job imaginable that contractors would ask of him. He worked hard and completed tasks at hand with various companies, including Champlain Masonry Co., Cim’s Home Improvement Team, Bousquet Ski Area and many other companies. He specialized in painting, roofing, and masonry.
He was always willing to help his neighbors and was well-liked by everyone. His smile was contagious and you couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy when talking with him.
He leaves his best friend, Tony Cimini and his family, and his son, John Burgess of Forest Hill, Md.
Funeral notice: There will be no calling hours. Donations can be sent to Berkshire Medical Center for the Gilliam Barre Syndrome Fund. Friends, co-workers, and family will be notified of a celebration of life in honor of John Burgess. Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
