PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Lawrence H. Kronick passed away peacefully at his home with his immediate family by his side after a long, courageous fight with pancreatic cancer on Friday evening December 22, 2017.
Larry was 61 years old and was born and raised in Pittsfield where he attended local public schools. Before his illness he worked at the Pittsfield Rye Bakery, which had been opened by his grandparents Charles and Tillie Robbins in 1929.
Larry was predeceased by his father Lewis Kronick, who passed away in 2015.
He is survived by his devoted wife JoAnn of 33 years, who he loved dearly; as well as his mother, Lois Kronick; and brother Stephen and his wife Nancy. Larry was also a loving uncle to his nephew Joshua Kronick and his wife Michal and their three sons of Baltimore, Maryland. Larry will also be missed by his cousins Rick and Renee Robbins, owner of the Pittsfield Rye, and their children Randi and Ryan, as well as cousins James and Tammy Robbins of New York.
Funeral notice: Funeral Services will be held Sunday, December 24, 2017, at 11: a.m. at Congregation Knesset Israel with Rabbi David Weiner, Spiritual Leader, officiating. Burial will follow in Knesset Israel Cemetery. Shiva will be observed at 96 Pomeroy Ave. Apt #F in Pittsfield on Sunday, December 24, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m.
