PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Daisy (Ireland) Beaulieu, 97, of Pittsfield, Mass., died on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Williamstown Commons in Williamstown, Mass.
She was born on August 7, 1920, in Sherbrooke, Canada, a daughter to the late Joseph and Laurentia (Mercier) Ireland. Daisy attended schools in Pittsfield. She worked at the former Fanny Farmer Chocolate Store in Pittsfield. She was primarily a homemaker who adored her family.
Mrs. Beaulieu was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church, now St. Joseph’s Church, in Pittsfield. Daisy enjoyed reading and was an accomplished seamstress.
Mrs. Beaulieu was the widow of Raymond L. Beaulieu. They were married in 1936. Mr. Beaulieu died in 1972
Survivors include her son, Roland Beaulieu and his wife, Marilynne, of North Adams, Mass.; a daughter, Darlene Moyer and her husband Donald of Marlboro, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Theresa Rarick; and two sisters, Marie and Lucille.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated the life of Daisy Beaulieu will take place Monday, February 5, 2018, at 9 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church in North Adams. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Pittsfield.
There are no calling hours. In Lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested for the Alzheimer's Association or Hospice Care in the Berkshires through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Mass.
