PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mr. Ethan Donald Spiess, 45, of Pittsfield passed away suddenly on Monday, February 12, 2018. He has made his journey into his forever home where he is free and in the loving arms of his parents. 

He was born in Great Barrington on July 27, 1972, a son of the late Roger and Bobby Jo (Gilbert) Spiess. Mr. Spiess worked as a laborer and roofer for many area companies throughout his life. 

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, ice fishing and hunting and was an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. 

He is survived by his daughter, Betsy Spiess of Dalton; three brothers, Robert Spiess and his wife Christine of Cheshire, James Spiess and his wife Lee of Limestone, N.Y., and Dylon Spiess of Amarillo, Texas; one sister, Lysa Spiess of Amarillo, Texas; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. 

He is also survived by many friends, including many from the downtown Pittsfield community. He will be sadly missed by all. 

Funeral notice: A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
