PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Beatrice M. (Cavallaro) Pelaccio, 88, of Pittsfield, Mass., died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, at North Adams Commons.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on August 9, 1929, daughter of Joseph and Angelina (DiGiore) Cavallaro. She graduated from Drury High School in 1949 and moved to Pittsfield in 1954. Beatrice was last employed at WalMart in Pittsfield until her retirement in 2008. Before that, she worked at England Brothers for 26 years.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church and the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Beatrice enjoyed reading and cooking and was a member of the England Brothers Quarter Century Club.
She was the widow of Carlo S. Pelaccio, who died March 5, 2006. They were married on July 31, 1954 in St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Survivors include her niece, Caron LaForest, and her husband, Daniel, and her nephew, David Sprague, both of North Adams; her grandniece, Roshan Sprague; and grandnephews, Stephen LaForest and Michael LaForest.
She was predeceased by her sister, Carmen Sprague; and brother, Joseph Cavallaro.
Funeral notice: The funeral for Beatrice Pelaccio will be Friday, February 23, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. A calling hour will be Friday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
