Florence Rembish, 88

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Florence I. Rembish, 88 of Berkshire Town Apartments, Pittsfield, passed away March 25, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born July 31, 1929 to the late Louis C. and Edith Alderman Brown. Florence was a 1947 graduate of Pittsfield High School. She married the late John A. Rembish in 1948 and was predeceased by him in 1983.
Mrs. Rembish was an Analyst and Investment Accountant for 40 years, having worked at General Electric in the Finance Department. A communicant of the former Holy Family Church, Florence had many hobbies. She enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking, ran a yarn shop, where she taught knitting and crocheting. She loved the holidays and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also had rescued and adopted many cats over the years.
She leaves behind three granddaughters, Amy Perras and her husband Steven of Pittsfield, Jackie Rembish of Pittsfield, and Sandra M. Rembish-Bamba and her husband Sherman of Pittsfield; six great-grandchildren, Markie and Marley Perras, Jaelyn Rembish and Janella Rembish-St.John, and twin boys Brandon and Isaac Bamba; and a daughter-in-law, Judith A. Villano Rembish.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Gary W. Rembish on April 14, 2011; her sister, Caroline Brown; and brother, Edwin Brown.
Funeral notice: A graveside service for Florence I. Rembish will be held, Friday March 30, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Berkshire Humane Society.
