PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Filip Paul Blechinger, 82, of 59 Roselyn Drive, Pittsfield, passed away peacefully April 4, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center with his wife and family at his side.
He was born on June 1, 1935, in Prague, Czechoslovakia. He was a college graduate. Mr. Blechinger was the owner of Berkshire Dental Lab and a dedicated dental technician.
Filip was a communicant of St. Mark Church. He was a world traveller and enjoyed going to Europe and his annual trips to Aruba to celebrate his wedding anniversary with his wife.
Filip was well-known for his distinguished taste. He enjoyed classical music, fine cigars, and was a wine connoisseur. Filip was generous and caring towards his family and He had an specially soft spot in his heart for animals whom he fed cheese and wine.
He leaves his wife, the former Benigna Campos Reynaga, whom he married December 4, 1981; and his son, Filip Blechinger Jr. He was also loved by his wife’s large extended family. Filip will be deeply missed by his wife, his family, Carol and Joel Greenberg, and his friends.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Filip will be held, Wednesday, April 11, 2018, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St Mark Church, celebrated by Rev. David E. Aufiero, Pastor. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in his name to Paralyzed Veterans of America.
