PITTSFIELD, Mass. — James William Kerr Jr., 51, of 16 Hope Street, Pittsfield, passed away April 10, 2018, at Berkshire Medical Center, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born March 1, 1967, to Patricia Eckert Kerr and the late James W. Kerr. He attended Millbrook Sr. High School in North Caroline and later attended BCC and MCLA.
James married the former Tammie Alibozek on July 21, 1990.
Mr. Kerr worked in sales for many years. He was employed as a commercial sales mgr. at S&A Supply. Prior to that he worked for FW Webb, Torrco, and Litco plumbing businesses.
He loved hiking with his dog Niko, going for long adventurous drives with no destination with his wife. James also loved to go to the beach and travel to different cities. One of his greatest joys was being with his family and going to bookstores,
Besides his loving wife Tammie of 27 years, he leaves behind his four sons, James D. Kerr and his wife Lacy of Denver, Colo., Brandon A. Kerr of Loveland, Colo., and Bryan A. Kerr and Dylan Z. Kerr of Pittsfield; his mother, Patricia Eckert Kerr of Pittsfield; his sister Patricia O’Brien; and nephews Kevin and Austin O’Brien of Hinsdale, Mass. He also leaves many others, including in-laws and cousins, as well as his beloved dog Niko.
Funeral notice: Calling hours for James will be held Monday, April 16, 2018, at Dery Funeral Home in Pittsfield from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
