PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Lauraine Theresa Pelletier, 88, formerly of Orlando Avenue, Pittsfield, died peacefully at Berkshire Place on June 14, 2018.
Born in North Attleboro on July 17, 1929, the daughter of Lucien and Alberta Boutin Dupuis, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Pelletier was a waitress and had worked at the William Henry Inn and Johnny's Restaurant.
Mrs. Pelletier was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a member of The Ladies of St. Anne. She also belonged to The Society of St. Jean The Baptiste.
Her family came first, especially her children, she loved her family dearly. She enjoyed embroidering, reading, and travelling with her husband on their motorcycle.
Her husband, Chandonnet Louis Pelletier, died January 24, 2017.
Mrs. Pelletier is survived by her daughters, Constance A. (husband James) Griswold of Bradenton, Fla., Rose M. (husband Michael) Shaw of Pittsfield, and Laureen T. Pelletier-Whitney of Huntsburg, Ohio; two grandchildren, Marcus DelGreco and Michael Shaw, Jr.; several step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Walter Whitney.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Lauraine T. Pelletier will be held Friday, June 22, 2018, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Michael A. Shershanovich, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, June 21, 2018. from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home of Pittsfield.
