PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Frank Albert Masdea Sr., 57, of Onota Street, Pittsfield, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, at his home.
Born on April 14, 1961, the son of Eloise M. Kaigle Masdea and the late Frank G. Masdea, he was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1979 graduate of Taconic High School. Frank had been employed in the past at Ronnie’s Cycle, Dunkin Donuts, County Ambulance, Donovan’s Construction, and the City of Pittsfield Water and Sewer Highway Department.
He was a former drum instructor of the Pittsfield Red Knights, and a supporter of numerous motorcycle clubs. He enjoyed motorcycling, remodeling, grilling and was a communicant of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Besides his mother, Eloise Masdea of Pittsfield, he leaves behind his longtime companion, Jinnie L. Tallman of Pittsfield; his son, Frank A. Masdea Jr. and his companion Jana Easterwood of Pittsfield; a brother, Kurt Masdea of Pittsfield; his sister, Holly Liversage of California; and three grandchildren, Brendan, Savannah and Hayden Masdea.
Funeral notice: A graveside service for Frank A. Masdea Sr. will be held Friday, September 28, 2018, at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Cemetery, St. Bernard Section, top of the hill, officiated by Rev. Geoffrey Deeker. There will be no calling hours. Dery Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
