PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Josephine A. Lomaglio, 86, of Pittsfield, Mass., passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass.
She was born in Pittsfield on October 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Alessandro and Assunta (Pignone) Lomaglio. Josephine attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School and Berkshire Business College. She was employed at the former Pittsfield National Bank, presently known as Bank of America, for 35 years and retired in 1986.
She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, a member of the Sons of Italy ITAM Lodge No. 564 of Pittsfield and the Italian American Club of Pittsfield. Josephine enjoyed cooking, crafts, traveling and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sister, Elaine J. Costanzo and her husband Francis of Pittsfield; three nephews, Anthony Costanzo, Michael Costanzo and Alexander Lomaglio and his wife Ellen; her niece, Susan Lomaglio; and her sister-in-law, Lena Lomaglio.
She was predeceased by one brother, Angelo A. Lomaglio; and one sister, Rita A. Lomaglio.
Funeral notice: Services for Josephine A. Lomaglio will be Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at 10 a.m. from the Flynn & Dagnoli-Bencivenga Funeral Home, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church by the Rev. Michael F. Bernier, Pastor.
Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Sacred Heart Church Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
