PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Alan Lash, 54, of Pittsfield died Friday, December 21, 2018, at Hillcrest Commons after a brief illness.
Born in Alexandria, Louisiana, on August 25, 1964, to the late Howard Lash and Barbara Fuore Murnane, he spent the majority of his life in the Berkshires and attended local schools. He was also very close to his stepfather, the late Matthew Murnane.
Alan worked for Gillette Carnival as a ride operator for many years, until he became unable to work. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life especially sharing a good laugh and just spending time with his friends and family.
Alan is survived by his brothers, Dean Lash of Little Rock, Ark., and Kevin Lash of Charlotte, N.C.; and his Aunt and Uncle Pat and Jack Wasuk and cousins Brenda, Mark and David of Lenox, all of whom he loved dearly.
Funeral notice: A memorial service will be held in the spring. There will be no calling hours. Alan will be laid to rest alongside his mother and stepfather in St. Joseph's Cemetery at the convenience of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alan’s memory may be made to the Brien Center, Hillcrest Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
