PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mr. John A. Baker, 78, of Pittsfield, passed away December 25, 2018 at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Otis, Mass., on March 31, 1940 to the late Ralph and Aida Barton Baker, he attended Lee schools.
Mr. Baker was married to the former Norma Jankowski.
He worked for Miss Hall’s School in food service and previously worked for the Highland Restaurant for about 10 years.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Norma Baker; their children, John H. Baker of Pittsfield, Allen M. Baker (Angie) of Pittsfield, Ralph A. Baker (Denise) of Pittsfield, and Terry A. Parker (Stan) of Adams, Mass.; two sisters, Betty Phillips and Mary Godell of Pittsfield; three brothers, Perry Daniels, Charlie Daniels (Laurie) and Joe Daniels of Pittsfield; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, with Rev. Peter A. Gregory, Pastor Emeritus of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
