PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Bernice Viale Loveless, 98, formerly of West Street, Pittsfield, died peacefully Thursday, January 17, 2019, at Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center, Lenox, Mass.
Born in Pittsfield on November 12, 1920, the daughter of Luciano (John) and Louise Ruch Viale, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School and attended college. Mrs. Loveless and her husband, Donald, were married January 3, 1948, and had celebrated 62 years of marriage when he died on February 3, 2010.
Mrs. Loveless was a homemaker and also worked as an Administrative Assistant for GE. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Circle Group. She and her husband were also members of the Wahconah Country Club in Dalton, Mass. Mrs. Loveless also spent time gardening and creating flower arrangements for her church. She was a true dog lover throughout her 98 years.
Mrs. Loveless is survived by two sons, D. Mark Loveless and his wife, Kathleen, of Norwood, Mass., and J. Kim Loveless of Pittsfield; a daughter, Holly L. Mykulak, and her husband, George, of Medfield, Mass.; and four grandchildren, Holly Loveless, Jennifer Loveless, Zach Mykulak, and Lucas Mykulak.
The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of the Kimball Farms Nursing Care Center and HospiceCare in The Berkshires for the compassionate and loving care they provided.
