PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Mrs. Donna Sperlonga Borden passed peacefully after a longtime illness on the morning of September 12, 2019.
Donna was born February 13, 1948, daughter of the late Elaine Gillette Sperlonga and David Sperlonga Sr. Donna took much pride in the presentation of her house, the quality of her cooking and the love she gave. With looks that kill, she was a diva who often loved to bring up the last time she was compared to Liz Taylor. Always saying exactly what was on her mind, Donna’s spitfire attitude is what has held the Borden family together since left by her late husband, Joe Borden.
She is survived by her partner, Amitio DeCarlo of Lanesborough; her sons, James Borden, Shaun Borden and daughter in law, Cindy Borden of California, and Joseph Borden Jr. of Richmond; her grandchildren, Michael Koldys, Joseph Borden, Joshua Borden, Timber Borden, Bryce Borden, Sierra Borden, Forest Borden and Autumn Borden; her brother, Gary Sperlonga, and sister-in-law Vicki Sperlonga; her sister, Lori Bertoldi, and brother-in-law Edward Bertoldi of Pittsfield; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Her ability to fill a room with such confidence, and light will be admired forever. She now joins her predeceased husband Joseph Borden, brother David Sperlonga, and grandson, Shaun Borden Jr., and they’re together once again.
Donna The Diva will never be forgotten by her friends and family.
