PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Antonio William Bartolotta, 99, of Pittsfield, MA died on Sunday December 13, 2020 at Berkshire Medical Center.
He was born in New York, New York on November 10, 1921 a son of Stefano & Anna (Mancini) Bartolotta. Antonio attended schools in Lenox and graduated from Lenox High School.
He was a veteran of WWII and served in the US Army in North Africa and Italy.
Antonio was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and was a member of the Pittsfield VFW. He was a musician, playing the accordion and mandolin, and belonged to the musicians union. He maintained his own band for many years. Antonio was last employed at General Electric in its Power Transformers division for 45 years until his retirement.
Antonio leaves his wife, Iola M. (Esposito) Bartolotta whom he married on April 12, 1947. He also leaves a son, Michael J. Bartolotta of Littleton, CO; four grandchildren-Christine Bartolotta, James Bartolotta, Stephani Bartolotta and Mat Green; 8 great grandchildren (Joshua, Jaezsa, Giahbella, Giovolo, Gemma, Willow, Ella, and Annie), a sister-in-law Anna Esposito, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Stephen A. Bartolotta in 1998 and one sister, Mary Spagnuolo.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Services for Antonio Bartolotta will take place Friday December 18, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Flynn & Dagnoli–Bencivenga Funeral Home 5 Elm St. Pittsfield, MA. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. A calling hour at the funeral home will be held Friday from 12-1 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Church.
