PITTSFIELD, Mass. —
Donna (Salisbury) Bedard died suddenly and peacefully on April 18, 2021, leaving behind her husband of almost 20 years, John Bedard. Born on March 29, 1957 to Erma and Albert Salisbury, Donna lived a full and happy life, having enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband exploring and photographing lighthouses, her favorite thing.
After growing up in Ashley Falls and graduating from Mt. Everett in Sheffield in 1975, Donna joined the Army and spent four years as a financial specialist in England and Texas. She was always extremely proud of her time serving her country before returning home to work with the Postal Service until her retirement two years ago. For many years she worked in the Lenox Post Office, enjoying a chat with those who entered for their mail.
Donna leaves behind a twin sister, Diane Bartow and her husband Kenneth, another sister, Pat Wright and her husband Richard, along with nephew Nicholas Bartow of Colorado, nieces Jessica Sarno of Monterey and Lisa Bucholz of North Branford, CT. She also leaves behind two grandnephews, Connor Sarno and Austin Lee as well as two grandnieces, Cierra Lee and Piper Bucholz. Donna is predeceased by her parents.
Due to Covid concerns, there will be a private graveside service for immediate family in the near future with no calling hours.
