PITTSFIELD, Mass. —
Mrs. Mary A. (Baker) Caron, 89, of Pittsfield, died on Friday, June 25, 2021, at Springside Nursing Home in Pittsfield.
She was born in North Tonawanda, NY on September 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Sleeman) Baker, Sr. She attended schools in New York and graduated from the North Tonawanda High School.
Mrs. Caron was a Veteran, serving with the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1952 until receiving her Honorable Discharge in 1954.
Following her service in the Navy, Mary worked for many years at the St. Francis of Assisi School in Tonawanda until moving to Adams where she worked for the Adams Cheshire Regional School District until her retirement, at which time she and her husband spent most of their time in Old Town, Florida.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II Parish at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. She was a past president of the Syrian Lebanese Club, the American Legion and Masonic Temple in Old Town, FL. She loved to gamble and play bingo.
Her husband, Paul Caron, whom she married on August 21, 1954, died on June 6, 2012.
She is survived by three Sons, Michael Caron and his wife, Judy, of North Tonawanda, NY; Bruce Caron (Debbie) of Newfane, NY; and Jeffrey Caron and his wife, Debbi, of Adams; a daughter, Pamela Storie and her husband, Matt, of Pittsfield; a sister, Helen Wasieczko of North Tonawanda, NY; eight Grandchildren, Jason, Paul and Joshua Caron; Tyler and Adam Storie; Mallorey and Madelyn Caron; and April LeSage; two Great Grandchildren, Ariana and Maddie and by several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by a grandson, Matthew Caron; by a nephew, C.J. DeLuca and by five brothers and three sisters.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 29th at 12 Noon in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
