PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Phyllis A. (Daoust) Lozo, 82, of Pittsfield, MA died Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Berkshire Medical Center.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA on July 15, 1939, the daughter of Odessa and Antoinette (Cianfarini) Daoust. She attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1957.
Upon graduation from high school, Phyllis worked at the General Electric Company. Later, she worked at the Pittsfield Country Club and City Savings Bank. She completed her career as a longtime employee of the Berkshire Gas Co, and she served as a volunteer at the Berkshire Museum for over 20 years. Phyllis was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church.
Phyllis was a beloved mother to her three sons, and a devoted wife to her husband. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and playing the slots at the Mohegan Sun Casino. She was an expert at Sudoku and loved crossword puzzles. She was highly skilled with crewel and counted cross stitch. She loved to travel, and her favorite city was Paris.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Giles Lozo, whom she married on October 1, 1960, and three sons- Col. Christopher C. (Nancy) Lozo, USAF Ret., of Brussels, Belgium; Adam G. (Karen Bidwell) Lozo of Brighton, MA and Nathan J. (Carrie) Lozo of Richmond, VA. She also leaves a brother- Robert (Lorraine) Daoust of North Carolina. She was predeceased by her twin brother- Philip Daoust who died in 1993.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A graveside service for Phyllis Lozo will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery on Monday September 27, 2021, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory officiating.
