PITTSFIELD, Mass. —
Mr. David Roy Cooper, 80, of Pittsfield, died on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington.
He was born in Westfield on August 19, 1943, a son of the late Roy and May Chase (Holmes) Payne. He attended schools in Dalton and graduated from Wahconah High School.
Mr. Cooper was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the United States Navy until receiving his Honorable Discharge on May 13, 1968.
Mr. Cooper worked in the maintenance department of the former Beloit Jones Co., in Dalton for many years until retiring.
He is survived by his wife, the former Jeanne-Marie St. Hilaire, whom he married on June 26, 1964; two daughters, Wendy Sikorski and her husband Stan of Queens, NY and Amy Baker and her husband Steve of Middlefield; his son, Seth Cooper and his wife Stacy of Abington, MA; three brothers, Dale, Dwayne and Donald Cooper; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held on Monday, July 29th at 11:00 A.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.
Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Monday morning from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service in the funeral home.
