Patricia C. McHugh, 67, of 100 Inverness Place, Syracuse, N.Y., a native of Pittsfield, died Monday at James Square Nursing Home.
Born in Pittsfield on Aug. 14, 1934, daughter of Cora Harder Crosby and the late Fred Crosby, she graduated from St. Joseph's High School. She also graduated summa cum laude from Indiana State University with a bachelor of arts degree in communications. She had resided in Pittsfield until 1955, and lived in Indiana from 1984 to 1989. She moved to Syracuse in 1989.
Mrs. McHugh was employed as a caseworker for Catholic charities, retiring in 1994.
She was a communicant of St. Ann's Church.
Besides her mother, of Syracuse, she leaves her husband of 47 years, Andrew P. McHugh; two daughters, Mary Ann Moeri of Derry, N.H., and Melanie McHugh of Clinton, Ind.; four sons, Daniel McHugh of Palm Bay, Fla., Patrick McHugh of Endicott, N.Y., John McHugh of Syracuse, N.Y., and Joseph McHugh of Terre Haute, Ind., and 11 grandchildren.
