Annie L. Litano

October 10, 2002

Annie L. Litano, 85, formerly of 312 Wahconah St., died yesterday morning at Springside Nursing Home.

Born in Stuyvesant Falls, N.Y., on April 21, 1917, daughter of John and Carrie (Crabtree) Crabtree, she was educated and graduated from Valatie, N.Y., schools. She moved to Pittsfield in 1946. Mrs. Litano was employed by the former New England Telephone Co. for 12 years, retiring in 1982.

She also had worked at the former Valatie Mill for several years. Mrs. Litano was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Golden Seniors and Telephone Pioneers of America, and was a member and secretary of the former Eagles Auxiliary 358.

She enjoyed bowling in her younger years and was a Yankees fan. She leaves a son, Peter A. Litano of Reno, Nev.; a daughter, Phyllis A. Goddard of North Adams, and three grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Annie L. Litano, age 85, died Oct. 10, 2002. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Deborah Kalbe of Wilmington, Del., Michael and Shane Litano of Reno, and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Monday from 3 to 6 at DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Peter Boehringer, pastor of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

If friends desire, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home, 40 Maplewood Ave., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
