Alice M. Bailey, 97, formerly of 33 Maplewood Ave., died Saturday at Laurel Lake Center in Lee, where she had resided since Nov. 28, 1997.
Born in Lenox on Dec. 1, 1905, daughter of Jules and Mary Linderme Meuret, she attended schools there and lived most of her life in Pittsfield.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker. She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church while in Pittsfield and enjoyed cooking.
Her husband, Emil A. Bailey, whom she married Oct. 15, 1928, died Aug. 19, 1972.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Alice M. Bailey of Lee, who died Jan. 26, 2003, will be tomorrow, Jan. 28, at 11 from DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:30 at St. Mary's Church in Lee celebrated by the Rev. Gary M. Dailey, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Lee. Calling hours will be tomorrow from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. She was also predeceased by a sister, Adrienne Meuret of Lenox Dale.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Mary's Church in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201
