Tanya Williams, 28, of 20 Canal St. died Monday at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester because of complications from childbirth.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 28, 1974, daughter of Francis and Virginia Jacobs Williams, she graduated from Taconic High School in 1992 and from Berkshire Community College as a licensed practical nurse.
Ms. Williams had been employed at Springside of Pittsfield for nine years as a certified nursing assistant.
Besides her parents, of Pittsfield, she leaves two daughters, Kelsey Williams and Mia Williams at home; a son, Brandon Williams, at home; a brother, Michael Williams of Pittsfield; and a sister, Patricia Bressendorff of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Tanya Williams will be Friday at 1 at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 220 East St., Pittsfield, with the Rev. Willard Durant officiating. Burial will be in Pittsfield Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Friday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory for her children in care of Mrs. Virginia Williams, 718 West Housatonic St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
