Ruth M. Martin, 89, of 169 Valentine Road died yesterday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on April 21, 1913, daughter of Henry A. and Rose Morrow Cote, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
A homemaker, she enjoyed knitting and swimming.
Her husband, Gerald E. Martin, whom she married April 20, 1940, died in 1970.
She leaves a son, John H. Martin of Becket; three daughters, Rosalie R. West of Norfolk, Va., Susan A. Martin of Jupiter, Fla., and Andrea M. Dec of Barrington, N.H.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Ruth Martin will be held today, Saturday, at 1 at the DERY FUNERAL HOME with the Rev. Paul A. Bombardier, pastor of St. Mary the Morning Star Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Tucson, Ariz.
