Robert W. Tukey, 76, formerly of 350 West St., Epworth Arms, died yesterday at Kimball Farms in Lenox.
Born in Pittsfield on Dec. 1, 1926, son of Louis and Lena Pleau Tukey, he was a 1944 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
An Army veteran, he served from 1945 to 1948.
Mr. Tukey was employed as a dispatcher for the Pittsfield Department of Public Works, retiring in 1981 after 30 years of service.
He was a communicant of St. Mark’s Church and enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
His former wife, Emma J. Libardi Tukey, died July 30, 1988.
He leaves a daughter, Joanne S. Tukey of Pittsfield. He was predeceased by a son, Joseph D. Tukey.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Robert W. Tukey, 76, who died Sept. 13, 2003, will be Tuesday at 8:15 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 9 at St. Mark’s Church by the Rev. Henry Dorsch, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday from 2 to 4 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Elder Services in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St.
