Melissa "Jo" Ann O'Malley, 39, of 11 Linden St. died Tuesday morning at North Adams Commons, where she had been a patient since Dec. 30.
Born in Great Barrington on Oct. 16, 1964, daughter of Joann Kubik McLaughlin of Peru, she attended local schools.
A homemaker, she enjoyed children and animals, as well as drawing and motorcycles.
Besides her mother, she leaves a stepfather, Robert McLaughlin; a brother, Charles Wilson III of Middleburg, Fla.; two sisters, Cindy Cormier of Hinsdale and Karen Eggleston of Peru; and three stepbrothers, Craig McLaughlin of Westfield, and John and Thomas McLaughlin, both of Pittsfield.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Miss O'Malley will be held Tuesday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. William D. Furey officiating.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from noon to 1 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Miss O'Malley may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield.
