Elizabeth V. Nugai, 69, of 95 Longview Terrace died Saturday morning at Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 7, 1936, daughter of John and Susan Candilore Panetti, she was a 1953 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Nugai was employed as a bookkeeper at S.S. Pierce Food Supply Co. for 20 years, until 1987.
She was a communicant of All Souls' Church, treasurer of its Ladies' Society and a member of its Parish Council.
She and her husband, Anthony C. Nugai, were married March 2, 1957, in Mount Carmel Church.
Besides her husband, she leaves a son, Anthony S. Nugai of Pittsfield; a daughter, Camille P. Nugai of Pittsfield; two sisters, Barbara Lazzari and Anne Coury, both of Pittsfield; two brothers, John Panetti and Mario Panetti, both of Pittsfield, and a granddaughter. Another daughter, Paula M. Nugai, died at birth, Oct. 5, 1965.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Elizabeth V. Nugai of Pittsfield died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005. Beloved grandmother to Katherine "Katie" Alice Nugai. The funeral will be Wednesday, Jan. 12, at 9 from DWYER FUNERAL HOME, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at All Souls' Church by the Rev. Geoffrey J. Deeker, CSS, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be tomorrow, Jan. 11, from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to All Souls' Church in care of the funeral home. She was predeceased by a sister, Mary Panetti.
