Marie Martha Mongeon, 92, of Marian Avenue died Tuesday afternoon at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Holyoke on May 19, 1912, daughter of Alfred and Emelie Morel Vernier, she attended Pittsfield schools.
A homemaker, Mrs. Mongeon was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church.
She enjoyed crafts and cake decorating.
Her husband, Maurice Mongeon, died in September 1983.
She leaves two daughters, Juliane Hines of Pittsfield and Janet A. Krutiak of Hinsdale; two grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Marie M. Mongeon, who died Feb. 8, 2005, will be held Friday, Feb. 11, at 9:30 from DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 East Main St., Dalton, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial celebrated at 10 at St. Agnes' Church by the Rev. Christopher A. Malatesta, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Pittsfield. Calling hours will be Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:30 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to HospiceCare in the Berkshires or St. Agnes' School in care of the funeral home.
She leaves her two grandchildren, Timothy and Amy, and a great-grandchild, Jacob.
