Russell Anthony Barth, 89, formerly of 99 Second St., died Tuesday at Hillcrest Commons.
Born in Lanesboro on Jan. 24, 1916, son of Merrill H. and Gertrude Anthony Barth, he attended schools in Lanesboro and Pittsfield.
A self-employed painter, Mr. Barth also had worked for various painting contractors in Berkshire County until retiring many years ago.
He leaves a daughter, Bernice Irwin of Cherry Valley, and a grandson.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Services for Russell A. Barth, who died Feb. 22, 2005, will be conducted tomorrow, Feb. 25, at 1 at DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, by the Rev. Peter D. Boehringer, pastor of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. The family will receive family and friends at the funeral home Friday from noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Froio Senior Center in Pittsfield in care of the funeral home.
Mr. Barth also leaves a grandson, Ryan Irwin.
