Mary M. Decelles, 97, formerly of Churchill Crest, died Monday afternoon at Hillcrest Commons, where she had resided since May 2003.
Born in Pittsfield on May 3, 1907, daughter of Thomas J. and Margaret M. Coffey Drumm, she was a 1925 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Decelles had been employed as a secretary by the New England Telephone Co. for 48 years, retiring in 1972.
She was a communicant of the former Notre Dame Church and a former member of the New England Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed music.
Her husband, Horace C. Decelles, whom she married March 17, 1983, in Notre Dame Church, died May 23, 2004.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary M. Decelles, who died March 28, 2005, will be celebrated tomorrow, March 30, at 9 at St. Joseph's Church by the Rev. Michael A. Shershanovich, pastor.
Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. DERY FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. She was predeceased by two brothers, John Drumm and Burt Drumm.
