Anna L. Zuber

Anna L. Zuber, 71, of Berkshiretown Apartments, 176 Columbus Ave., Apt. 723B, died Friday at Berkshire Medical Center after a short illness.

Born in Hinsdale on March 12, 1934, daughter of Fred J. and Amelia L. Michaels Fassell, she was educated in local elementary schools and attended Pittsfield High School.

Mrs. Zuber was a receptionist for Ad Lib Inc. on North Street for several years until she became ill. Before that, she was employed by Greylock Plastics Co. as a packer for more than 10 years.

Mrs. Zuber was a longtime communicant of Holy Family Church and enjoyed playing bingo.

She and her husband, Stanley F. Zuber, were married July 7, 1953, in Vergennes, Vt. He died Nov. 25, 1976.

She leaves two sons, Frank S. Zuber and Steven J. Zuber, both of Pittsfield; two daughters, Ellen A. Corio of Lanesborough and Susan Crow of Cheshire, and seven grandchildren.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Anna L. Zuber, 71, was called safely home on Aug. 19, 2005. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9 at Holy Family Church by the Rev. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, if friends desire, memorial donations may be made to Ad Lib in care of DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME, which has been entrusted with arrangements.

Anna will be remembered for her sense of humor, lightheartedness and her strength to face life's challenges with a smile. Her loving grandchildren, Jennifer Crow, Melissa Peto, Brian Corio, Tristan Norton, Stephanie Zuber, and Adam and Alexandra Zuber, will miss her.
