Dorothea M. "Dottie" Marshall, 61, of 255 Lebanon Ave. died Sunday at Springside, where she had resided since July 3, 2003.
Born in Pittsfield, on Dec. 6, 1943, daughter of Edgar and Dorothy Atwood Kipp, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.
She was a communicant of St. Teresa's Church.
Mrs. Marshall was a professional hairdresser, working a several beauty salons in Pittsfield for ten years before becoming ill.
She enjoyed dancing and country music, and was a fan of Ann Murray.
She leaves a sister, Patricia A. Meader of Pittsfield, three brothers, Wesley J. Kipp of West Sand Lake, N.Y., and George A. Kipp and Peter F. Kipp, both of Pittsfield. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Marshall.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- Funeral services for Dorothea M. "Dottie" Kipp Marshall, who died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2005, will be held Friday with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Teresa's Church, celebrated by the Rev. John J. Varley, pastor.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Great Barrington, at the convenience of the family. Calling hours at DERY FUNERAL HOME will be Thursday from 4 to 7. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her memory may be made to the Catholic Youth Center in care of the funeral home.
Dottie is also lovingly survived by a brother-in-law, Jack J. Meader; three sisters-in-law, Patricia, Marilyn and Marilyn J. Kipp, and by many nieces and nephews.
