Margaret Gertrude Hinckley, 86, of 61 Wahconah Heights died Friday at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in New York.
Born in Pittsfield on Jan. 16, 1919, daughter of Thomas F. and Rhoda Beckwith Street, she was educated in local schools.
Mrs. Hinckley was a homemaker.
She worked at one time at General Electric Co.
She was a communicant of St. Charles' Church and enjoyed sewing, playing bingo and bowling.
Her husband, Joseph F. Hinckley, died in 1950. She leaves a son, James W. Hinckley of Pittsfield; a daughter, Betty A. Martino of Pittsfield; two sisters, Anne Greb and Rhoda Machaby, both of Pittsfield; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Diane Hinckley Hurley.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Margaret G. Hinckley, who died Friday, Dec. 30, 2005, will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
Mrs. Hinckley was predeceased by six brothers, four sisters and her beloved daughter, Diane Hinckley Hurley. DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, is handling arrangements.
