Ruth F. Pyburne, 69, of 35 Kellog St. died Tuesday at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.
Born in Jersey City, N.J., on Dec. 8, 1936, daughter of Frank and Ruth Grady, she attended schools in New Jersey and the University of Florida.
She taught cosmetology at Sheridan Vocational High School for many years in Hollywood, Fla. until moving to Pittsfield in 2003.
Her husband, Christopher Pyburne, whom she married in 1956, died in 1999.
She leaves two sons, Thomas A. Pyburne of Pittsfield and Frank E. Pyburne of Coral Springs, Fla.; a daughter, Shavonne M. King of Westfield; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Ruth F. Pyburne, who died Tuesday, March 7, 2006, will be held on Friday, March 17, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee. Burial will be at St. Peter's Cemetery in Great Barrington. There are no visiting hours and the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee is in charge of arrangements.
