Leonora McCormick Downey, 91, died Sunday at Baystate Medical Center.
Born in Great Barrington, she had lived in Pittsfield most of her life before moving to West Springfield in January.
She was a retired secretary for H.B. Foster Inc. Her husband, Thomas E. Downey, died in 1984. She leaves two daughters, Patricia Ormsby of West Springfield and Noreen Downey-Brahmer of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and four grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE -- The funeral for Leonora Downey, who died Sunday, March 19, 2006, will be held Tuesday, March 28, at WEST SPRINGFIELD CURRAN-JONES FUNERAL HOME at 10:30 a.m., with liturgy in St. Thomas the Apostle Church at noon.
A private burial will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Pittsfield. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday prior to the Mass from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Agnes' Church, 489 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226.
