PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire with possible entrapment on Brown Street just after 2 a.m. Tuesday.

 

Upon arrival, heavy fire was showing from the side of the building. Car 2 requested a second alarm calling engine 1 engine 6 and the Hinsdale Rehab unit.

 

Engine 2 attacked the main body of the fire while other units deployed handlines for the interior.

 

Heavy fire was encountered n the first, second floor, and attic.

 

Crews were able to get the main body of the fire under control in 40 minutes.

 

There was extensive fire, water, and smoke damage on the three floors. There were no reported injuries 

 

The cause of fire is under investigation.
